Problem No.22
I. Mathematical Expression:
$$f(x)=e^{-3x}-\sin^3(x)$$
where:
\(\bullet\) \(0 \leq x \leq 20\)
\(\bullet\) \(f_{min}(x^*)=e^{\left(-27 \pi / 2\right)}-1\)
\(\bullet\) \(x^*=\frac{\displaystyle 9 \pi}{\displaystyle 2}\)
\(\bullet\) Actually, there are only 20 \(1-\)dimensional benchmark functions known with names Problem No.01 to Problem No.20 [1]. This new function, i.e. Problem No.22, is taken from [2].
